HOW DO I...
OBTAIN REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS?

If you take medicines regularly, your doctor may put you on repeat prescription. This allows you to obtain further supplies of your medication by either calling at the surgery and asking for a repeat prescription from the receptionist or phoning 01788 579477 (or 0844 477 3317 if you are a Bilton Green patient) which is a telephone answering service. Be ready to give your name, patient ID and the name and dosage of the drugs you require. The prescription should be ready for collection by the next working day. If you enclose a stamped, addressed envelope the prescription will be posted to you. After a certain number of repeat prescriptions the doctor will need to see you before you can have any more, to check your progress and to see whether your treatment needs any change. This notification will be shown on your prescription slip.

Patients unable to collect their prescription on weekdays may delegate a chemist of their choice to collect on their behalf. The medicines can then be collected direct from the chemist. You must arrange this with the chemist yourself.
